Global spinning reserves to jump 40% in 10 years

As the volatility of supply and demand for grid electricity grows, so will the need for more spinning capacity, says Pike Research.A predicted 40% growth by 2022 will mainly be generated through oil and gas, but energy storage’s share of the market will grow to 7%, claims Pike. And in terms of revenue, the global spinning reserves market will more than double in size, from $261 million in 2012 to $578 million by 2022.
